Message	4 qts w/ filter with oil to top of fill mark on dip stick. No issues since 92. Also note that according to the FSM overfill can cause idle issues. And as another issue not in the FSM overfilling can cause excess drag on the crank due to oil windage from the counter weights hitting the oil with resulting oil foaming possible reduced lubrication and loss of power.
